You were invited into a Money Mastery system by the owner. This is your flow — not the owner registration steps, not the access key flow. Just this.
This is for invited guests — not owners who purchased the system.
The exact email you open with must match what the owner invited.
You likely do not need an owner access key. Guests have their own path.
"Not authorized" almost always means the wrong Google account is open.
Owner Flow vs. Guest Flow
These are two completely different entry paths. Make sure you know which one applies to you.
Purchased the system
Has an access key (e.g. MM-ABC123)
Registers through the owner setup
Not invited by someone else
Invited by the system owner
Follows the guest access path
May use a temporary PIN step first
Does not need an owner access key
Before You Start
Confirm these three things before you open the workbook. Click each item when you've verified it.
The owner added my exact email address as a guest through the in-app flow
I know which Google account matches the email the owner used
I understand I may use a temporary PIN or guest-path step first — that is normal
The Steps
Open the Sheet From the Invited Account
Account
This matters more than almost anything else in this tutorial.
If the owner invited you@domain.com, you must open the workbook from you@domain.com — not your personal Gmail, not a second work account, not whichever browser profile you happened to already have open.
If you open from the wrong Google account, the system may tell you that you are unauthorized even though the owner already gave you access. That almost always means the wrong account is open, not that the invite failed.
Follow the Guest Access Path
Path
When the workbook checks your email, it should route you into the guest path rather than the owner registration path. That means:
- You may see a temporary PIN or guest login step
- You may be prompted to complete a guest-specific first-time flow
- You should not be trying to enter an owner access key unless the system explicitly tells you otherwise
Use Any Temporary Access or PIN Instructions
PIN
If the owner or system gave you a temporary PIN or first-time guest credential, use it exactly as instructed. This is often a bridge step before you establish your own ongoing guest login state.
Do not skip ahead into owner setup just because it looks more familiar. The guest path may look different — that is intentional.
Complete Any Guest Registration Follow-Up
Setup
Depending on the flow, you may be asked to complete some guest setup information or set your own longer-term PIN. Follow the prompts fully.
This is what converts you from "invited person" into "working guest inside the system." Don't exit or close the workbook partway through this step.
Verify You Can Reach the Right Workbook Surfaces
Verify
Once access is established, confirm that you can:
- Open the workbook correctly from your invited account
- Navigate to the sheets or reports the owner expects you to use
- Return to the workbook later using the same Google login without hitting an access wall
If You Get "Not Authorized" or "No Access"
Check these in order before assuming the system is broken:
1
Are you signed into the exact email the owner invited?
Check your active Google account — it shows in the top-right corner of any Google product
2
Did the owner actually add you through the in-app guest flow?
Ask them to confirm from inside Money Mastery → Manage Guests
3
Are you accidentally trying to use the owner registration process?
The guest path looks different from the owner flow — don't force it into the wrong shape
4
Is the invited email a work account managed by your company?
Some organizations restrict third-party Google apps — check with your IT department if needed
Quick Account Check
1
Open any Google page — Gmail, Drive, or Sheets
2
Look at the profile icon in the top-right corner
3
Confirm the email shown matches the one the owner invited
4
If it doesn't match, switch accounts and try again
Common Mistakes
Using the wrong Google account
This is by far the most common guest access issue. Check your active Google account before anything else. Multiple browser profiles and saved accounts make it easy to open from the wrong email without realizing it.
Looking for an access key you were never supposed to have
Guests do not always use the same first-time key flow as owners. If no one gave you an access key, that is likely normal — not a missing step. Follow the guest path, not the owner path.
Assuming the invite failed when the account is just wrong
Before asking the owner to re-invite you or resend anything, check your signed-in Google account. Nine times out of ten this resolves it. The invite is usually fine — it's just being opened by the wrong identity.
Trying different browser accounts randomly
Don't just try every email you have. Confirm with the owner exactly which email they used, then open the workbook from that one. Random trial-and-error creates confusion and doesn't fix the root issue.
What Not to Click or Do
Do not try to use the owner's access key
Do not jump into owner registration if you were invited as a guest
Do not keep retrying from multiple browser accounts randomly
Do not assume the invite failed before checking which account you are signed into
What to Check When You're Done
You'll know this is working when:
- You can open the workbook from the invited email without hitting an access wall
- You are following the guest path, not the owner setup flow
- You are no longer stuck in an unauthorized state
- You can return to the workbook later from the same Google account
"Guest access usually feels confusing only when the wrong doorway is being used. Once you're in the invited account and following the guest path, the system becomes much simpler very quickly."
