Move through Money Mastery quickly without hunting through tabs. The Navigation Menu is the organized doorway into everything — accounts, reports, planning sheets, and system tools.
The Navigation Menu is your map of the entire system, not just a backup for finding tabs.
Access accounts, reports, planning sheets, and tools from one place.
Not every item stays inside the workbook — some open workflows, modals, or external links.
The top menu still exists alongside it for certain major tools.
What the Navigation Menu Looks Like
Click any item in the sidebar below to see what type of destination it leads to. Each item in the real menu behaves the same way — some open sheets, some launch workflows, some go external.
The Four Destination Types
Not every item in the Navigation Menu behaves the same way. Know which type you are clicking before you expect a specific result.
Navigates to a tab inside the workbook. You stay in the same Google Sheet.

The Steps
Open the Navigation Menu
Open
From inside the workbook, open the top menu and click:
Money Mastery → Navigation Menu
This opens the sidebar navigation. If it takes a moment to load, that is normal — account names and destinations are built dynamically from your workbook's current state.
Understand the Destination Types
Types
Inside the Navigation Menu, not every item behaves the same way. Some items will:
- Open a sheet inside the workbook
- Jump you to a specific overview tab
- Launch a workflow like categorization
- Take you to support or help resources
- Open external destinations such as Hub or booking links
Do not assume every click stays inside the same workbook view. Look for badges or labels that signal external or workflow destinations.
Use It to Reach Core Surfaces
Surfaces
The Navigation Menu is especially useful for jumping to:
- Account tabs (checking, savings, credit)
- Savings and Bill Tracking sheets
- Needs & Desires planning surface
- Monthly and Yearly Overview
- Profit & Loss
- Label sheets
- Support and help areas
Use it as your primary map — not just as a backup when you can't find something.
Know When to Use the Top Menu Instead
For some workflows, the top Money Mastery menu may still be the cleaner place to begin — especially for major modal-based tools like Dashboard or Clarity AI & Reports if those are configured separately in your build.
If something in the Navigation Menu feels like it is pointing toward a concept rather than a literal sheet, the top menu may be the more direct route.
What to Do If Something Doesn't Load
Loading
If the Navigation Menu shows an error or does not load accounts properly:
- Give it a moment to finish loading — accounts are built dynamically
- Refresh the workbook
- Reopen the menu
If the issue persists, document which item failed and use support rather than editing anything manually in the underlying sheets.

Common Mistakes
Expecting every item to stay inside the workbook
Some destinations are links or modal workflows that operate outside the sheet view. If a click takes you somewhere unexpected, check whether the item was tagged as External or Workflow — that is the intended behavior.
Clicking tutorial placeholders expecting full content
Depending on the build state, some help entries in the Navigation Menu may be stubs or future-facing references. If a help link doesn't lead to a full article yet, check the Library directly.
Forgetting the top menu still exists
The Navigation Menu is powerful, but it is not the only navigation layer. For major modal-based tools or specific workflows, the top Money Mastery menu may be the cleaner starting point.
What Not to Click or Do
Do not assume an unfamiliar destination is safe to edit just because you can reach it through the menu
Do not click into internal or admin sheets if they ever surface — those are not user-facing areas
Do not panic if the menu takes a moment to load — accounts are built dynamically
You're Using It Well When
- You reach account tabs and reports without hunting through the sheet bar
- You recognize which destination type each item will open
- You use the top menu for specific modal-based tools when it's faster
- The workbook feels smaller, calmer, and easier to navigate
"Once you start using the Navigation Menu as your normal way of moving through the system, the workbook feels smaller, calmer, and easier to trust."
