Register with Your Access Key and Create Your PIN
First-time registration inside Money Mastery — opening the system, entering your access key, creating your PIN, and finishing the welcome sequence without getting lost or stalled.
Walks you through the owner registration flow: access key → name → PIN → welcome sequence.
This applies to the primary account owner. If you were invited into someone else's system, use the guest access flow instead.
Registration complete, PIN accepted, welcome flow finished, workbook opens as a real user.
Be in the same Google account tied to your purchase. Have your access key nearby.
What This Tutorial Is For
This tutorial walks you through the real first-time registration flow inside Money Mastery: opening the system, using your access key, creating your PIN, and finishing the welcome sequence without getting lost, stalled, or sent into the wrong path.
This applies to the primary owner flow, not the guest flow. If you were invited into someone else's system and do not have your own access key, stop here and use the guest access flow instead of this tutorial.
Access Key vs. PIN — Know the Difference Before You Start
These two credentials do different jobs. Confusing them is one of the most common early stumbles.
Before You Start
Before you click anything, confirm all four of these. Click each one to check it off.
What the Registration Window Looks Like
After you click START HERE and complete Google permissions, this is the window that opens. You will enter your access key, name, and create your PIN — all inside this window, not in any sheet cells. The demo below shows the full form.
The Steps
Click any step number to mark it done. Click the expand arrow to read the full detail.
Open your Money Mastery system and go to the START HERE tab. This is the front door of the system. On a first-time setup, the rest of the workbook is intentionally not the place to begin.
- Do not start clicking random tabs
- Do not start typing into visible cells hoping setup will begin
Click the START HERE button. That single click wakes up the system.
The first time you click START HERE, Google may interrupt with an authorization flow. If it does, complete it fully:
- Click Continue
- Choose the correct Google account
- Click Advanced on the warning screen
- Click the link that lets you continue to the private Money Mastery tool
- Confirm the permissions
If you stop in the middle, the registration window may never fully open. If you are unsure here, use the full Authorize Permissions tutorial.
After permissions complete, the system opens a Welcome to Money Mastery registration window over your sheet.
- You are not supposed to paste your access key into a random sheet cell
- You are not supposed to type directly into the tab looking for setup fields
Stay inside the registration window. Everything you need to do happens there.
Find the field labeled Access Key and enter the key exactly as provided. Typical format: MM-ABC123
Be careful about:
- Using the correct key for the correct system (Personal vs Business)
- Not copying extra spaces before or after the key
- Being in the correct Google account
If the key does not work, stay in the registration flow and verify the basics first — do not start trying random cells or retyping it elsewhere in the workbook.
Enter your first name and last name in the fields provided. This helps the system tie the registration cleanly to the correct user record. Do not skip these fields.
Create your PIN in the field provided. The current flow expects:
- Numbers only — no letters
- 4 to 6 digits
- Then enter it again in the confirmation field
Choose something you will actually remember — this is the code you'll use to get back in every time. If the PINs do not match, registration will stop and ask you to correct them.
Once the access key, name, and PIN fields are complete, click Create My Account. The system validates your setup and moves you into the welcome sequence.
If something fails here, it is usually one of these:
- Missing access key
- Wrong Google account
- PIN not numeric
- PIN too short (under 4 digits)
- PIN confirmation mismatch
Fix the specific issue shown instead of restarting the whole workbook unless the message clearly tells you to do that.
After registration succeeds, the system moves you through a short onboarding sequence that explains the rhythm of the workbook. Move through the screens and complete the setup path rather than closing the flow early.
This is where the system transitions from "registration" to "usable workspace." Completing it ensures all tabs and tools are fully unlocked.
If Something Fails at Step 7
Registration failures at the "Create My Account" step are almost always one of these five things:
Common Mistakes
What Not to Click or Do
You'll know this worked when:
- You finished the registration window successfully
- Your PIN was accepted
- You reached the post-registration welcome flow
- You can open the workbook as a real user, not as an unregistered visitor
- Your previously hidden tabs are now visible — the system no longer shows only START HERE
